Chuck and Della Magnet were born and raised in North Carolina. They were married in 1991 and lived in Texas for 10 years while completing graduate degrees. During this time, Chuck became a youth and worship pastor of a church in the North Dallas area. This position became more than a job because it imprinted home and family on their hearts that was to unknowingly become the launching point of what Re-Generation is now.
After a training course and mission trip to Berlin, Germany in 2000, the Magnet family returned to North Carolina to live near family for a time while they awaited God’s next instructions. In 2003, they suffered the loss of their 3rd child, JohnMark to stillbirth. Through this tragic experience, God sealed within them the desire to help others. They understood on a new level the importance of walking out the journey of life closely with other people.
In 2005 Chuck and Della moved overseas to help establish a training house in Berlin. After 7 years there, working and living in an extremely multi-cultural environment, they felt prepared to return to the USA and to set up Re-Generation. After a lot of prayer, they felt led to plant Re-Generation in Los Angeles, CA. With a heart for people all around the globe, it seemed only natural to extend home and family to people in this region that are seeking to transform world culture. They understood that this is the only way to help people know their true identity.
Chuck and Della now live in Los Angeles with their 4 children and spend time both opening their home and all around the city meeting with and seeking out those that are looking for what it means to be a son or daughter of God.
WHAT WE DO
We have been given the eyes to see past the exterior of this generation and the voice to call them out into their true identity. That means simply that we look at this generation and see their true value. Many have lost or damaged parts that need to be regenerated by returning to their Father. It is our goal to simply help this generation find their way home so they can experience the presence of God, be a part of a family, and to be able to walk in who they were created to be…a generation marked by God and called to be loved by Him.
We are spiritual parents, but it is nothing like what you would imagine. For us, spiritual parenting is not a replacement for earthly parents, but it means that we are guiding our spiritual children to their real Father. In Him, they are able to see themselves as He created them to be. When they embrace Him and love who they are, God’s children become re-generated. We have not established a set discipleship course, because each spiritual child is different. Therefore, each journey of re-generation looks different. We feel our main responsibilities are to remain a son and daughter ourselves, create a space for the presence of God, love one another deeply, create a vital atmosphere where family thrives and have a really fun time enjoying life together.

This is the city of dreamers and dream killers. Whether they are looking to make it in film, television, music, or some other area of the entertainment industry, these brave people have left everything: family, friends, home, and comfort to follow dreams, doing whatever it takes to make it happen.
Almost from day one, those who move to LA to be a part of the changing and re-shaping of the culture of the entertainment industry come under fire from the enemy. The enemy doesn't like those coming into his territory with the courage and hope from God that will literally destroy what he has been building for decades. And he uses anything that will distract people from their calling. He will hurl lies at them until they no longer believe the dream that God gave them in the first place. He will find ways to destroy hope and purpose, isolating people and making them feel extremely lonely and hopeless, until many of them simply leave the city and go back home.
Our dream, as Re-Generation, is to help people discover who they are as sons and daughters, and to step out to follow the dreams and passions that are within them. Our mission is to provide family, friendship, home and a safe place for people who are here, not only to follow a dream, but who are here to bring "light" into "darkness". We are called to stand along side the ones who are called to bring change to the culture of the entertainment industry, providing them with everything they need to make that happen.
